Following Jane Rule’s presentation to the Freemont County Historical Society about the history of agricultural production in the Howard area, Sandy Cruz and friends will discuss how permaculture can contribute to the future of agricultural production in the Howard area!
Presentation will take place in the afternoon at the old Howard School House.

A regionally-based 8-weekend design certification course, 108 hours, for Salida and beyond . . .

Course Instructors: Sandy Cruz, Merry Cox and Denise Ackert, with guests David Bowers, Jason Gerhardt, Becky Elder and many more
Observe Nature’s ebb and flow in local towns, river valleys and mountains through the lens of permaculture, giving depth and perspective to design work. Tour diverse sites, engage in hands-on seasonal projects, create designs for resilient local systems, explore perennial culture, and take tangible steps towards regenerative food, shelter, energy and community. The extended format allows time to digest permaculture concepts and creates a foundation for community projects.
